Pool Rules

Admission to the pool is limited to members only and eligible guests. For the pool’s guest policy, please visit the following page: https://gainsboroughpool.com/gainsborough-club-guest-policy-14/
An adult must accompany children under 10 years old. Unattended children 10 and over must have a signed waiver with contact information on file. If you have not already completed the appropriate forms, please complete the CONSENT, RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY and Emergency Contact forms and return them to the Head Lifeguard or any Board member. NO glass containers.
NO dogs or other pets allowed in pool area.
ALL children under the age of FOUR and those OLDER children who are not toilet trained MUST wear a disposable swim diaper AND a reusable swim pant in the pools.
Diaper changing is not allowed on the pool deck.
Children who are sick with diarrhea or have been within the last 24 hours are not allowed in the pools.
Violation of the swim diaper policies resulting in an incident will incur a $250 fine being charged to your membership.
Repeated violations of the swim diaper policies will result in a review of your membership by the board.
NO running or rough play in the pool area.
NO swimming in the diving area unless the boards are closed by the lifeguards.
NO diving in shallow water.
NO frisbees or hard-sided balls (i.e. footballs, baseballs, etc…) allowed in pool area.
NO foam pool noodles, unless as part of a specific, supervised Swim Team practice activity.
NO rafts, floats, soft-sided balls, water guns, etc. during crowded conditions as determined by the lifeguards, Pool Manager, or member of the Board.
NO fighting or profanity. Violators will be required to leave.
NO gum allowed in pool enclosure.
NO water balloons allowed in the pool area.
Do not drag pool furniture across the deck.
Bathers must shower before entering or the pool.
Please hose off after playing outside the pool enclosure.
No children allowed in the clubhouse unless it’s to use the vending machine.
Lifeguards are not responsible for watching children in the baby pool.
Baby pool usage is limited to children 5 years old and under.
There will be a 15-minute “Adult Swim” at a quarter to the hour, every hour.
Swimming during “Adult Swim” is limited to persons 16 and older.
Report all injuries to the lifeguards.
NO smoking inside the pool enclosure/ Persons who smoke are asked to be considerate of other members and children and dispose of their cigarettes properly and safely.
Smoking and alcohol are prohibited at swim meets.
Please place all waste materials in the proper disposal containers.
Public drunkenness will not be tolerated. Alcoholic beverages should be consumed in moderation.
Personal conduct in the pool and clubhouse must be such that the safety of the individual and others is not jeopardized.
Damage to Club property, including trees and shrubbery will not be permitted by any member. Member’s children or guests who cause such damage shall be responsible for such damages.
Premises must be vacated at closing time.
Pool is only open for swim when there is a lifeguard present.
NO soliciting.
